MIZU

Located atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s Southpark neighborhood, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan. The Japanese word “mizu” translates to “water” and represents the fluid, flowing, and formless things in the world that adapt to their environment, growing and changing according to the direction of the sun and the changing seasons. In keeping with traditional Japanese design, the brand identity development placed a heavy focus on understated elegance and subtle sophistication. Minimalist graphics are paired with organic shapes, soft textures, and subdued colors. The brand elements work seamlessly together to convey deliberate precision, grace, and confidence.
